Is hypnosis safe?

Yes.

Most people are not aware that they actually undergo hypnosis every day. The trance-like feelings you experience while reading a book, watching a movie, or daydreaming are all hypnotic states characterised by focused attention.

The body relaxes completely.

Mentally you are conscious, in a state of daydreaming, like when you dream or when you visualise something (for example you can visualise the place where you grew up, or where you live now, without being present in that place ).

If the therapist asks permission to touch the shoulder, only the shoulder should be touched.
